| Well, folks, it's been a long time. Besides being involved in the CRAZIEST semester of my life, I also have made a pretty much full-switch to Facebook, the best thing since...I dunno, but it's good. Unlimited photo storage...way more privacy...and everything else you could wish for. So...get one! Okay, so my semester? Let's see...16 credits...practicing four instruments...a 4-credit science class which just about killed me...working anywhere from 10-20 hours during the week at the box office (called Programs and Productions)...playing cello in a production called "An O. Henry Christmas", which took 15-20 hours a week in evening rehearsals leading up to the 8 performances...oh, and cheerleading! :) I didn't have much time for a social life, so there's not many pictures, but what I have...is here! I went to the mountains one Saturday afternoon with some music friends, my cello teacher, and her family...her husband teaches violin/viola at school. We had fun in the beautiful scenery!

Sometimes school makes you want to...kiss a wooden post.

We had some friends for Thanksgiving!
My brother
Fred!
Okay, so we were all learning to swing dance in the basement, and personally, all those steps and stuff seem a little...constraining. I decided to go solo...
At a park...a good Southern girl.

Okay, so maybe I had more pics than I thought! Anyways, here's a little of my semester. It went by so fast! Hope y'all are doing well...and get a facebook! :)
| I'm at home this weekend....the first weekend in a long time that I didn't have rehearsals, performances, committments, etc. It feels good. Although, I said I was going to be all studious and practice a lot...whoops. However, the day is still young. I'm getting ready to head to church, but I'll just share a few pictures. First of all this post is dedicated to Aaron, my friend, because he gives me grief all the time at school about not posting on my blog. Here, Aaron...this is for you. Me, Anya, Isabelle, and my cello teacher after the SC cello choir. These are my favorite little girls!
The South Carolina cello choir met at BJU this year. It was a smashing success!
Me and Mrs. Gerber
Me and my friend Rachelle after a Vespers we performed in. She's a singer...and she's very good, and we have lots of fun in music classes together.
Me and Erin...she's a violinist. She makes me laugh harder than anyone in the whole entire world! Sometimes she bites me in chamber groups...but that's okay.
Me and Felicity...random craziness on a Sunday evening
A little more normal.
Me and Amy before Vespers.
I think that's about it...not very many pictures from this year yet, but it's not over! Love, Caroline
| Well, folks, I'm going back to BJU tomorrow...obviously, that means I won't be able to blog/comment as much, but I'll still try and check as much as I can (get off campus). I'm having my subscriptions sent to my school address, so I can still keep up with you guys!

| Here's some more pictures from Mr. Sherrer's camera of the trip to Monterey on Friday.
Rosy-cheeked and wind-blown
The result of too many hours in an aquarium...

The next day, Saturday, we went down to the Fisherman's Wharf for the ultimate in transportation...Segueway scooters!
Katherine and I weren't too crazy about the apparel we were required to wear...but soon it wouldn't matter! Who cares if you look like a dork in a yellow vest and helmet, riding on a scooter? It was fun!
During the "training session"...as you can see, Katherine is super excited!

Mr. Sherrer
Still not convinced about the vests and helmets
On the wharf...right before our speed got upgraded to a whopping 8.5 miles per hour!

After the tour, we were starving, so we went to lunch at the BEST hamburger place in the world...In-N-Out!

The rest of the afternoon consisted of riding the trolley, walking around the wharf, and a shopping trip by Katherine and me, while the dads rested.

Starbucks...never too late or too early for some tea!
Getting a text....always a fun thing.
Mr. Sherrer before dinner
For dinner, we went to Chinatown! We ate Thai at a restaurant called "Citizen Thai and the Monkey". Interesting story behind that name...

Katherine and the Fish...always an adventure & The Receiving of the Check

We rode some more trolleys, and walked around the wharf and Ghirardelli
With a friend we met in a little market store
Another friend and amazing artist!

Sunday morning, we went to the famous "Sears Restaurant" for breakfast...I had the best pancakes in my life that morning!

After church, we changed, packed our bags, and got on a ferry headed for Tiburon!

We were bored waiting for the boat to leave.

It got a litttttle windy once the ferry left.

Lunch at a Mexican restaurant on the island
Warming up in the sun!
That afternoon, we went and saw Superman Returns in Imax 3D, and then it was time to leave for our 11:30 flight out of San Francisco to Chicago. After flying all night, we had to part ways when Katherine and Mr. Sherrer had to head to Raleigh. But, no worries...parting is always only for a little while. We shall be reunited again!
And this comes from a tired, haven't-slept-in-36-hours, still-haven't-unpacked girl...

| Every year, me, my dad, Mr. Sherrer, and Katherine take a father/daughter trip. We've gone to New York City, Maine, and now San Francisco! After a rather rough start, we all got to this beautiful city on Thursday night in time for some dinner! We decided on some local Chinese that we'd heard was definitely an experience...

Katherine and me downtown
Friday morning, we got up rather early to go to Monterey! Our daddies had a special suprise waiting for us on for the drive down...
Although...the top didn't stay down for long. Even in spite of the 60-degree temperatures and 80-mph driving.
We FROZE!
Nothing like the wind making your nose numb, and hair slapping your face even though you pull it back a hundred times. Thankfully, we had Katherine's ipod to help us in the two-hours frigid drive...thanks goodness for Nickel Creek, Maroon Five, Chris Thile, and other amazing artists.
We were always grateful for times to stop...
We rarely needed directions...especially in a parking lot.
During the 17-mile drive along Pebble Beach, we got to get out and make some new friends.
There were some very friendly little squirrel-like creatures along the coast. They loved us.
They weren't afraid to get close up and personal.

They especially liked Katherine.

On the rocks

Looking at the wildlife
We went to the aquarium at Monterey, which Mr. Sherrer got pictures of...I'll get them later. Thankfully, the ride home was a bit warmer, thanks to the sun!
Katherine
Sometimes it just makes you want to shout!!
We decided to be really crazy, and let our hair out the last few minutes on the highway, even though it meant 10-minutes worth of painful brushing when we got back. We like adventure!

That night, we went to the best Italian place ever! We met some people from Singapore, where Katherine and I have both been, and Poland, where my family lived for two years. It was fun to eat in the little, packed alleyway with so many people around you! Hooray for the city!

The alley way filled with restaurants.
More to come...until then, hey from San Francisco!!
